About The Tour:

 

A morning of leisurely hiking and rainforest sightseeing awaits you on the Coral Coast as you trek the waterfall. Swim in a cool lagoon fringed by giant ferns and wild ginger, and learn about Fijian customs and culture.

Head out into the jungle, making your way along a tree-shaded path. Cross over babbling streams, and listen in as your guide points out different tropical plants and explains their traditional, medicinal uses.

Arrive at the falls, where a misty cascade of fresh water drops 65 feet (20 m) into a clear pool below.

Go for a refreshing dip—there’s even a shallow rock pool that’s perfect for kids.

This activity is not wheelchair accessible. This hike takes place on an unpaved trail without handrails, but is mostly flat and not very demanding.

 

Next up:

 

The ‘Naihehe’ Cave complete with easy access, a comfortable environment and a captivating history. It was a fortress to one of the last cannibal tribes – and you will see some captivating and compelling reminders of this; including the cannibal oven and ritual platform.

This cave was ruled by a pagan priest and hundreds of people lived inside for months at a time. Natural features include sparkling stalactites, stalagmites, flow stones and underground springs – but it is the history that makes this cave particularly special and so unique.

At the Village you will participate in a customary traditional kava ceremony and prayer ritual. Next up is a 15 min walk across native bush and farms to the river before a bamboo raft ferries you across the river for a short walk to the Naihehe Caves. These Bamboo rover rafts are still the traditional mode of transport for river based villages.
